Kershaw Emerson CQC-4KXL Large Folding Pocket Knife, D2 Steel Blade

The "XL" Kershaw-Emerson now comes with a D2 blade steel, a high-carbon, high-chromium tool steel that is a knife maker's favorite. This steel offers good edge retention and hardness, as well as being more corrosion-resistant than other high-carbon steels. The cqc-4kxl d2's big, useful blade measures just under 4 inches in length. For a secure and comfortable grip, the knife features a G10 front scale and a steel back. A sturdy frame lock secures the blade open during use and releases easily to close.

The cqc-4kxl D2 also features the patented Emerson wave-shaped feature, a small tab on the top of the blade designed to catch on the pocket seam, opening the knife as it comes out of your pocket. This instant-open feature is a favorite among military, rescue, and law enforcement knife users. Alternatively, the built-in thumb disk can be used to open the cqc-4kxl D2 manually.

The knife includes a reversible pocket clip for convenient left-handed or right-handed carry. Designed by Emerson and built by Kershaw, the cqc-4kxl D2 has a 3.9-inch D2 steel blade, a G10 handle front with a 410 stainless steel back, and a bead-blasted finish. It features manual opening, with no mechanical assist, such as Speed Safe, used to open the folding knife.
